Our Story

Engineering Precision Meets Lighting Artistry.
One Mission: Spaces That Heal.

A licensed Professional Engineer and a third-generation lighting designer — with 40 years of combined experience — brought together by one realization: the spaces designed to heal your clients are often lit in ways that work against them.

How We Got Here

Two Different Paths. The Same Conclusion.

Luxara Health was born from two careers that couldn’t look more different on paper — but arrived at the exact same insight.

Daniel’s path ran through DOT infrastructure, law enforcement facilities, highway systems, and bridges — the kind of environments where lighting is engineered to spec by licensed professionals and failure isn’t an option. Fifteen years of designing lighting for roadways, stadiums, parks, courts, and public safety installations teaches you that light isn’t decoration. It’s a performance system. Every fixture, every color temperature, every spectral output has a measurable impact on the people operating inside it.

Robert’s path started three generations ago in a Miami lighting showroom in the 1940s and evolved through 25 years of designing bespoke landscape, architectural, and commercial lighting for South Florida’s most discerning properties. Luxury residences, resort hotels, restaurants, religious institutions — environments where light isn’t just functional, it’s the defining element of how a space feels. That career built an understanding of light as art: how warmth, color, shadow, and placement shape the emotional experience of everyone who walks into a room.

Daniel engineers light for performance. Robert designs it for experience. Together, we realized the spaces that need both the most — wellness environments — were getting neither.

Yoga studios, IV therapy clinics, med spas, recovery rooms — these are spaces explicitly designed to promote healing, calm, and restoration. Yet these spaces are almost always lit with fixtures a general contractor chose for cost and convenience, not for the biological impact on the clients sitting under them or the experience those clients are paying for.

Bright, blue-heavy light in a 6pm yoga class is associated with elevated cortisol. Low-CRI lighting in a med spa makes skin look unhealthy under the very lights meant to showcase results. Blue-rich overhead panels in an IV therapy room work directly against the relaxation the treatment is designed to produce. These aren’t aesthetic preferences — they’re measurable physiological effects backed by decades of circadian research.

Luxara Health exists to close that gap. Daniel brings the precision of an infrastructure engineering career; Robert brings three generations of artistic lighting mastery. Luxara turns that background toward the science of circadian health — not vague wellness claims, but measured spectral analysis, evidence-based recommendations, and fixture guidance held to the rigor their careers required on bridges, stadiums, and some of South Florida’s most demanding private properties.

Hotels, Restaurants & Commercial Properties

Through the family practice, Robert designed dramatic, purpose-built lighting for restaurants, resort hotels, nightlife venues, and religious institutions throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. Environments where light defines the guest experience and sets the emotional tone of every visit.

Why Wellness

The Gap No One Was Closing

Wellness businesses invest heavily in creating healing environments. Treatment protocols. Ambiance. Client experience. The design of every surface, every finish, every scent is intentional.

But the single most pervasive environmental factor — the light your clients sit under for every treatment, every class, every session — is almost always inherited from whatever a general contractor installed during buildout. And that lighting can be working against the very outcomes you’re trying to produce.

This isn’t a design opinion. Research associates the wrong color temperature and spectral profile to elevated cortisol, suppressed melatonin, disrupted circadian rhythms, and reduced perceptions of skin health and environmental quality. Your clients may not know why your space feels slightly off — but their biology does.

That’s the gap Luxara Health exists to close. Daniel’s engineering rigor, Robert’s three generations of lighting artistry, and the circadian science that connects both to measurable health outcomes go into every assessment. The result is a clear, evidence-based picture of what your lighting is doing to your clients — and exactly what to change.

How We Work

Precision at Every Step

01
Assess

We analyze your existing lighting against your space type, intended use, and the biological needs of your clients. No assumptions — just data.

02
Report

You receive a written assessment covering what’s working, what’s working against you, and a tiered upgrade path.

03
Implement

We walk through the findings together and prioritize changes that deliver the highest impact. From a single bulb swap to replacing every fixture in the space — you decide the pace.

A licensed engineer’s precision. Three generations of lighting artistry. Circadian health science.
